Tattoo
At Casa Kuà, we believe that the path to healing can take many forms. We also hold the belief that healing should be accessible to everyone, regardless of social class, nationality, passport, and other factors. Additionally, we firmly believe that healing should transcend how you choose to live your life, what you’ve experienced, or your personal story.
Casa Kua is gathering a collective of queer tattoo artists who aim to support fellow queers on their journey towards embracing their bodies more fully. As tattoo artists, we intend to share the practical skills we’ve acquired, transforming tattooing into a tool for both change and personal growth. We are convinced that tattooing can alter the significance of experiences, empowering individuals and giving new value to events that have left either visible or concealed marks on the body`.
Our determination extends to breaking down economic barriers that might otherwise impede the pursuit of healing for something as precious as one’s own body. Tattooing becomes a means through which we can heal or reinterpret parts of our bodies that have borne the brunt of traumatic experiences, resulting in lasting marks.
Illnesses, surgeries, and injuries can all contribute to discomfort, often drawing unwanted attention, questions, or even acts of violence from the external world, thereby hindering our ability to fully enjoy our surroundings.
Through the Casa Kuà Tattoo initiative, we aspire to construct bridges connecting queer tattoo artists who are eager to share their craft with individuals seeking a more positive relationship with their bodies through empathetic, respectful tattoo experiences. Our commitment to both our craft and our community is underscored by a wealth of love.
