NADA Acupuncture (for BIPOC Queers and white TIN* people)

*For queer Black, Indigenous, People of Color and white Trans, Inter and Nonbinary Folks.
EN: The NADA protocol is the standardized acupuncture of 5 ear points in a special setting that has proven to be an effective treatment for people suffering from stress, trauma, or a wide variety of mental health conditions.NADA involves the gentle placement of up to five small, sterilized, disposable needles at specific points on each ear. Recipients* sit quietly in a group setting for 30-45 minutes and allow the treatment to take effect.
NADA was developed in New York’s South Bronx in the 1970s by members of the Black Panther Party and Young Lords to address addiction in the Black and Puerto Rican communities.
Treatment under the NADA protocol helps people to
want to better cope with daily stresses
suffer from stress and burnout symptoms
need to cope with traumatic experiences
suffer from restlessness and sleep disorders
want to cope better with pain
who are addicted or have problems with alcohol and or drugs
who are mentally ill
have problems with hyperactivity or eating disorders
want to stop smoking.
There are no known medical contraindications. NADA is a non-verbal method where patients* do not have to share anything if they do not want to.
