The Space
We are located in the Schokofabrik, Naunystrasse 72, in Kreuzberg 10997, Berlin.
We have 2-3 treatment rooms, and one seminar room, as well as a big kitchen, which will be used as a communal space.
The space is hoch-parterre, with 10 steps up.
The Schokoladenfabrik women’s center—known to many as “Schokofabrik” or simply “Schoko” is located in the middle of Berlin’s Kreuzberg district in the renovated buildings of a former chocolate factory.
The Schoko is Berlin’s largest women’s center, spread out over 6 floors covering 13,000 square feet. It offers its visitors a unique mixture of counseling, education, services, and recreational activities.
The center was started in the 1980s as a project of the feminist women’s movement with the aim of supporting and empowering women, lesbians and girls.
Over these last years, the Schokofabrik has been in the process of opening to trans* and inter* people. One of those steps is having us in their space.
