Cancer Care Collective
@Casa Kuà, Berlin

Centering TIN*BIPOC & Self-reflection

We are the “Cancer Care Collective”, a self-organised group of white and non-white trans*, inter, non binary and queer people who are affected by cancer and are simultaneously confronted with the patriarchal, sexist, racist, etc structures of the health care system.

We want to create a space for people who are experiencing or have experienced similar situations, to exchange stories, support each other, empower ourselves and create collective strategies, as well as addressing the institutional problems within cancer treatment.

This group is specifically for TIN people who have been directly affected by cancer or a cancer-related diagnosis. It is centered around the needs of trans*, inter, non binary and queer BIPoC. Self-reflection on how you can help uplift BIPoC in and outside our space is mandatory.

We are part of Casa Kuà (Berlin Kreuzberg), a self-organised community and health center that is run by and centers the same marginalised groups as the cancer care collective.

Meetings are hosted in English, but we speak many languages and can organise translations and other needs.

We are meeting once a month, in person or online, depending on the circumstances and the wishes of the participants. To know the time and place of next meeting, you can contact us via email at:
