Dilan

I work with a body-centered and trauma-sensitive approach to invite you to reconnect with your present self, explore how life experiences are held in your body and how they can shift through awareness, movement, and presence.

The sessions provide space for you to slow down, listen and attend to yourself and your surrounding, and find new ways of relating to what feels challenging or overwhelming. Through somatic practices and experiences, our work supports the release of what your body holds back and the transformation of what longs to be shifted. We move toward cultivating a deeper sense of grounding, resilience, and connection to pleasure. I will also support you in understanding your nervous system responses and learning ways to work with them as they arise.

One of my main intentions is to create a contained, welcoming space where you feel safe enough to show up as you are. Together, we create the conditions that allow you to reconnect with your body’s natural capacity for growth, flow, change, regulation and rest.

My work also focuses on empowerment and resilience building for my communities. In times of ongoing stress and marginalization, I bring somatic practices and knowledge into groups to help tapping into our strength, and to settle overworked nervous systems for growth, rest and/or resilience.

My practice weaves together what I’ve learned through my trainings in Somatic Experiencing®, Integrated Somatics and Trauma Therapy, Somatic CBT, Somatic Sexual Healing, and homeopathy – as well as from my activism, rooted in my early years, and lived experiences as a queer person of color from SWANA.
