Because of stigma and the lack of care in the german medical system, we’re often left alone with our healing processes. We have to learn on our own, by trial-and-error, navigating the world of often uninformed, sometimes transfobic gynecologists and surgeons.

Therefore, transfems who had vulvoplasty, vaginoplasty and/or similar genital surgery are invited on Saturday May 14th from 2pm to 6pm in Casa Kuà.

This workshop is a moderated space to exchange tips and support between transfems. It is aimed to improve (and hopefully simplify) our self care routines.
There will be a discussion round, some inputs from the moderator and a practical part.
After introducing ourselves to each others, sharing what our surgery related backgrounds are and talk about the issues and good experiences we have (had), we will cover topics like :
-How we deal with dilation (or not)
-Regular care to prevent bacterial invasions
-(Safer) s*x and pleasure
-Strategies how to approach gynecologists and other doctors
-Scar tissue massages
-and more!
The second part will be practical :
We will take time to look at ourselves, with mirror and speculum if desired.

Nothing is mandatory besides kindness! Everyone is encourage to leave or take a break whenever they want to. The space is big and there are several rooms.

The workshop will be held in English and/or German according to the participants preferences.
We will take all the breaks we need and nobody will have to do anything they don’t want to!!
There is a maximum of ten participants to make sure it remains intimate.

Make sure you get quick tested for covid 19 before coming (self test are okay).
Bring a mirror and a frontal flash light if you have one. If not there will be a few there. Also bring any items that are important for your regular self care (dilators, toys, creams or oils or whatever you want to share with the group).
One way speculums, latex free gloves, lubricant and massage oil will be provided. Feel free to bring yours if you have a favorite.

About the moderator :
Manon is a white and dyadic sex worker and cranio sacral practitioner. She had vaginoplasty (inversion) in 2017.
She had been facilitating transfem spaces since 2018.
