Counselings with Qasa X:

Qasa X offers support, as well as medical and peer-support. The counselings create space and access for those who are often put on the margin and face discrimination in other structures.

We have counselors with different trainings and specialties as well as with different background so you can see who appeals to you best.

Bureaucratic/social support:

Do you need help with bureaucratic forms in Germany?  How to apply for state funding and how to fulfill requirements? Do you need help understanding official letters? Do you need help finding and making appointments with doctors or lawyers? Is there anything else that you need advice and support for?

Medical support:

Do you have any health problems and need to talk with a doctor? Our medical team offers counseling to asses your issue, basic treatment and in case of further needed diagnosis will help you look for where to get further help.

Psychological/emotional support:

Do you experience stress or struggle emotionally in Germany? Do you need someone to talk to, to process your experiences and feelings and find ways to cope better with your situation? Our team of psychological and mental health supporters offer space to talk and figure out needs and possible solutions for your current situation and personal topics and can help you find further ressources and help.

Ben

i’m poc and i don’t identify as binary (but i’m consistently read as male and don’t experience significant gender discrimination, so i find it inappropriate to call myself non-binary). all pronouns fit me. i will complete my behavioral therapy training in may and have worked therapeutically with adults and elementary school-aged children. i also work in individual case and family support with children and adolescents from preschool age and their parents. i offer emotional care in a compassionate, non-judgemental and solution focused way.

in english and german language.

Kim

Kim (they/them), post-east migrant, non-binary trans, studied social work and work since 2005 in an anti-psychiatric institution called runaway house.

I can do counseling on transition | social (all bureaucratic stuff), not so much legal stuff (also I know the legal situation for transition well).

Also any emotional support. That is, I am not a psychologist and if people are looking for that, they might be disappointed. But I know the psychological and psychiatric system and the system for homeless people in Berlin very well.

I have been working intensively since 2005 with people in acute crises who would otherwise be placed in psychiatric care. Our approach is an alternative to that. People always retain control over their situation, the work should be as transparent as possible, and it’s more about empowerment (how can people get out of the situation themselves). In the same way, there are situations where I feel helpless and may not be able to help, but then I communicate that and try to work with people to figure out what we can do.

Layana

As a psychosocial counselor I want to offer a space for BIPOC people arriving from Ukraine. I am a black queer femme offering judgment free supporting of your process of working through the experiences and empathetic support in navigating the arrival with the focus on finding stabilization. Times: Monday 3-6

Lee

Hi, I am Lee, I’m a 40yr old monoracial, Black, 1st gen West African, Transgender yoga teacher and somatic healer. I am positioned as working class, immigrant background and I experience oppression at multiple intersections.  I speak and understand English, French and German and I can understand Spanish and Portuguese. I am offering to hold space for BIPOC crew members and newcomers alike to express their thoughts, feelings, experiences in a non-judgmental, empathetic and heartful setting. Either one to one or in small groups.

Agathe

My name is Agathe. I am a Bipoc cis-woman. I work as a family helper. I offer support to Black, Indegenous and people of colour fleeing any war as well without paper to face the german burocracy ( filling out paper…). I communicate in english and french.
